Nornickel Harjavalta is a part of the global Nornickel Group
The first Nornickel plant was built on the Taimyr Peninsula in Siberia in 1935. Over the decades, the company has become the largest producer of nickel in the world. The Group’s main activities are the prospecting, exploration and processing of mineral resources as well as the production and marketing of base and precious metals.
Nornickel produces 14% of the world’s total nickel supply and is the world’s largest producer of nickel and palladium. The Group’s other major products include copper, cobalt, platinum and rhodium.
